TENNIS HALL – PARIS (FRANCE)
COMPLETION DATE 2024
SURFACE AREA 21528 Ft2
Construction of a 2-storey sports complex at the Tennis Club de Paris.
Built to French Tennis Federation standards and using natural materials, this 21528 Ft2, 19-metre-high timber-framed hall with transparent roof offers a high-performance, environmentally-friendly sports facility. A fine example of SMC2’s expertise in timber construction in the heart of Paris!
It houses two multi-purpose sports pitches (urban soccer, badminton, basketball, physical preparation), two tennis courts, one of which is on a mezzanine level. Two padel courts, a clubhouse and a children’s play area complete the redevelopment of the site.
The new court n°18, built on a mezzanine above the multi-sports area, offers a unique playing experience with a view over the Seine.
Court n°17 was inaugurated by two long-standing Tennis Club Paris ambassadors, Pauline Parmentier (former 40th player in the world and winner of the Billie Jean King Cup) and Julien Benneteau (former 25th player in the world, Olympic medalist, Roland Garros doubles champion and Davis Cup winner). They were accompanied by young tennis hopefuls trained at the club.
Former footballer Raí, who played for Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain, inaugurated the multi-sports pitch, accompanied by Thierry Omeyer, double Olympic champion and five-time world handball champion.
