Two New Covered Tennis Courts in Douvaine in France.
The municipality of Douvaine, has recently added two covered tennis courts, providing athletes with a modern and comfortable new space to play. This well-designed architectural project is built on a light yet durable structure, composed of a mixed frame combining glued laminated timber and galvanized steel, topped with a tensioned textile membrane for the roof.
The building façade combines technical performance and aesthetic appeal: a white fabric upper section enhances natural lighting, while the lower section is clad in steel sheet panels.
Special attention was given to rainwater management, with the integration of an insulated internal gutter and powder-coated downspouts discreetly concealed within the building structure, ensuring both efficiency and a clean design.
Designed for optimal comfort year-round, the building is also equipped with a hygrothermal regulation system, maintaining ideal conditions for sports practice in both summer and winter.
